Dear OER Stakeholders and Adopters,

Please join us for a full-day training with national leaders from the Open Textbook Network (OTN). FYI, you don't need to be an OER expert to attend, just have a passion for innovative thinking and interest in equity and student success. This training is for YOU!

April 26th 9:00 am-3:30 pm, Laney Field House (room 209)

RSVP so we can get a head count: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/peralta-open-educational-resources-oer-leadership-training-tickets-57850604716

Please join us for a full-day training with national leaders from the Open Textbook Network (OTN).

This training is designed to help develop strategies and collectively organize to increase and sustain OER adoption across our campuses. The day will include:

  • identifying and overcoming obstacles to OER adoption
  • examples and strategies for building successful OER campus program
  • "making the case" for OER in your discipline and to your colleagues
  • student academic success and OER

Attendees will come away with tangible strategies and materials to use (slide decks, resource libraries) in increasing OERadoption in their own areas along with a road-map and examples of plans that we can build on to ensure that OER adoption continues to thrive at Peralta.

Faculty who attend and participate in a follow-up activity (sharing OER with a colleague, gathering data from students regarding OER experiences, participating in future OER events, or writing a review of an OER text) will receive a stipend of $200.

This workshop is organized by faculty at all 4 Peralta campuses and sponsored through our District membership to OTN.

**partial day attendance is okay.

Sincerely, Heather Dodge and Jenny Yap
