Overview

In this guide, you will find streaming resources available at BCC.

IF YOU NEED A SPECIFIC MEDIA RESOURCE (FILM, TV SHOW, ETC) FOR YOUR CLASS, PLEASE CONTACT Josh, jboatright@peralta.edu AND HE WILL LET YOU KNOW IF AND WHERE THE RESOURCE IS AVAILABLE VIA THE CONTENT PROVIDERS BCC HAS ACCESS TO.

If you want to browse what's currently available media-wise, below is a list of content providers that BCC currently subscribes to and uses.

Streaming Resource Providers

The Library currently subscribes to the following databases that provide access to films and documentaries.  See tabs above for detailed information on how to access each resource.

  • LUMIERE : Lumiere is a free resource.  Films in Lumière and physically owned by BCC library may be used only as part of a course offered by BCC.

  • KANOPY : Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform that offers films, TV shows and documentaries. The service is paid on a pay-per-view model by the library.

  • DIGITAL THEATRE+ : Paid for by the English Department, Digital Theatre+ provides access to streaming video of plays and productions, theory and criticism, and resources for practice and practition. It also includes essays, practical guides, and documentaries.

  • SWANK :  The library can purchase 1 year access licenses for any of the films and television shows offered via SWANK.  If you don't see the film you are looking for via Lumiere, Kanopy, or Digital Theatre+ we may be able to provide access via SWANK.
