HOW TO REQUEST URLS TO USE LUMIERE FILMS FOR YOUR CLASS

If you find a film that you would like to use in your course, you can order that clip from Lumière, and a link to that clip will be sent to you via email.  You can order a clip by using the following steps:

  1. Find a film by searching the BCC  collection using one of the search or browse options.
  2. Open the page for the film by clicking on the film title.
  3. On the film page, under the "Actions" menu to the right of the film video window, click "Add this film to order" at the bottom of the list.
  4. From the options on the next screen, select your preferences for view options, subtitles, and other film information that you would like available to your students, then click the "Add to Order" button.
  5. Repeat these steps for all needed films.
  6. Once you have added all needed films to your cart, go to the "You" tab and click "Cart" to review your requested films and add any necessary annotations.  You can also remove films from your cart at this time.
  7. Use the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page to choose how long you will need the films (two weeks is the default), then give your order a name and click the "Submit Order" button on the right side of the page.
  8. You will receive an email from Lumière with links to the films and a reminder about Lumière's terms of use.  You may only post the links in Canvas.  They cannot be shared with students in any other way.
